… Lake Tahoe was a National Park, instead of what it is, today?
Of course, there would be no casinos, and the clearcutting never would have happened. There wouldn’t be any ski areas, either. Where would Tahoe rank, if it was a National Park?

It would cost $25 to enter the park, for one thing.
It would be ruined, probably water polluted, by the huge number of visitors. We Americans have a tendency to “love to death” certain things, like parks and lakes.
But must confess I don’t have any personal knowledge of the area, so maybe it is not in such great shape as-is.
