Looks like the “Conservation and Landscape Health” CLH rule will be out soon.

Looks like MOG is not on the list for now. Many of these are unknown to me… if any of you are familiar with them or have links to reporting, please put in the comments (that’s also true for the BLM regs other than the CLH reg.
Good to know. I’m very interested in how the whole “conservation lease” thing shapes up. I’ve read some recent concerns that those, plus a new rule the SEC is proposing which allows for publicly traded “Natural Asset Companies” which license the rights to “ecosystem services” on public and private lands, provide a backdoor method to essentially privatize federal land management and give ENGOs direct management authority over leased lands.
A very real concern. The have basically taken over the Oregon State Land Board (Oregon Governor, Treasurer, and Secretary) and successfully integrated into academia such that the Elliott State Forest is a living example of what happens when the environmental industry takes on forest management. Or wildfires and LSRs is another example, though less blatant.
Here’s the likely upcoming proposed and final additions to the threatened and endangered species list and critical habitat in the west. Almost all of them could have implications for federal land management. (I wonder if other years where there is not a presidential election have this many.)
