Many thanks to Tyson Bertone-Riggs for reaching out to let us know about the Alliance for Wildfire Resilience.
My colleague Annie Schmidt (cc’d) and I were the staff co-leads for the Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission and have since started the Alliance for Wildfire Resilience. We’re very focused on federal wildfire policy and part of what we do is provide some tracking and analysis of bills in our space. We also host periodic virtual briefings on topics to try to give our community an opportunity to learn more and ask questions, with congressional staff sometimes on hand to help answer them.
We’ve been deeply engaged on Fix Our Forests and just finished our analysis of the bill with changes. More generally, you can find additional analyses on the website through our bill and recommendation explorer. We also post other tools and products on the website if we think they might be of value to the community.
