Filming the Planning Rule Process

EPA is sponsoring a video contest to “explain rulemaking and win $2,500.” EPA says that “government regulations help set the price of the coffee you drink, the voltage of electricity your alarm clock uses, and the types of programming allowed on the morning news.”

Get your video uploaded to YouTube by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, May 17, 2010. Better avoid the type of video the government bars from your morning news.

  1. Andy,

I know you’ve been waiting for months for the final results to be announced, so did you see the winning EPA rulemaking video?

    Very boring.

Here’s my favorite, a rulemaking jingle that will make you sorry you ever heard it…

Is there a way to get him to write a forest planning tune for us? We need a theme song. Anyone out there willing to kick in a few bucks and I’ll email him and see if he can write something up (maybe to the tune of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody?)

  2. Building on Andy’s idea, costumed, tap dancing muppets would be good..Hey, I could write a song parody if you all submit funny things about planning..
